What is Qi Gong?

qigong2.gif

The word, “Qi”, is pronounced, “chee”. It is used in the Chinese language to describe what one might call, “life force”. “Qi Gong”, in Chinese means, “energy work”.

Qi Healing uses the intent of the practitioner and the facilitator to direct the qi of one’s body in the mediations, exercises and hands-on energy work. It encourages the energy of the body to flow through its natural paths in a gentle way.

Practicing a particular Qi Gong exercise which is specially designed to aid a particular issue has been known to increase the process of healing.

Hands-on energy work is a relaxing and rejuvenating way to direct healing energy with the aid of a Qi Gong healer.

“It [Qi Gong] s the practice of learning to control the movement of the life force internally, using only the mind to direct the energy in the body. Physical movement may be used, but is not required.” (Frantzis, Bruce Kumar. Opening the Energy Gates of Your Body. Berkley, California: North Atlantic Books, 1993.)

Questions for Anne about Qi Gong Healing

What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?

Qi Gong Healing is basically acupuncture without needles. The hands-on healing work done here focuses on the meridians as used in Chinese Medicine. The Qi Gong exercises I teach are specially designed to stimulate healing in the area that is most in need for you.

What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
To Help People Heal by putting my natural healing gifts to use.

What do you love most about your job?
The awakenings of joy, freedom, peace, and deeper breathing that people experience when they allow themselves to be receptive to the healing energies. Also, when they come back to me after practicing their Qi Gong move at home and I can intuitively tell they've been doing it without them telling me!
